Our Background

Jack Ernest - Founder of Eryri Psychotherapy

Jack is an integrative trauma specialised psychotherapist based in the beautiful mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) in Gwynedd, North Wales.  Jack is NCPS accredited and a BACP member.  He has an MSc in Counselling, winning an award for the best student in the department. He is trained in numerous different approaches (Jack has also completed training in CBT, Psychodynamic, Person Centred Therapy, DBT, ACT and the Rewind Technique) and is an enthusiastic, competent, supportive and generous presence in the therapy room.

Jack is passionate about working with all kinds of different people to help them live the life they want to live. Jack uses various modalities and approaches but always maintains a holistic approach - your psyche, your behaviours, your past, your values, your physical health, your social connections, your work, your passions - they all make up who you are. Your mental health doesn't exist separately from the rest of your life, so while Jack will work with your inner experience, he will also be focussing on how your inner experience interacts with the other spheres of your life.  Jack is comfortable working the whole spectrum of mental health issues, but is particularly interested in overcoming and integrating trauma, overcoming anxiety, managing difficult emotions, finding purpose, gender based violence, healthy masculinity, death anxiety and grief.

Contact Jack for a 15 - 30 minute catch up free of charge to see if we are a good fit. We can work in person or online anywhere in the world.
