A relationship of equals
We work together as two equals, navigating your inner world together. You are the world expert on your inner experience, no one else is privy to this despite what we sometimes think. We are the candle to help you see more clearly. This work is only possible when we collaborate.

Sensitive challenging
Sometimes we need to be challenged, otherwise we can bypass the major work in order to feel better in the moment. This is emotional and spiritual bypass. We have to face our shadow, to know it without shame. Sometimes we need absolute honesty about where we are at in order to move forwards.

Stuck not broken
Regardless of how you feel, you are not broken. You may be stuck and you may have learnt ways to survive difficult circumstances and these ways may not be serving you any more, but you are not broken. Hardship and trauma can change our psyche and our biology to keep us safe in times of percieved danger. But that which kept us safe in times of danger can be damaging in times of peace. We will help your mind and body to tell the difference and in doing so help you to get un-stuck.

Accepting what is while commiting to change
An integral part of this process is an acceptance and honesty of where we are at in our journey and to accept this reality without judgement or shame. However, we must learn the skill of accepting out current reality while also having a powerful commitment to change. Accepting where you are at is essential to bringing some peace, but this doesn't mean we cant also be pouring our energy and our power into growth. Holding these two seemingly contradictory ideas simultaneously is central to our work.
